Hey there! I’m Clare Roisin, the founder of Stem, and I’ve been in love with flowers for as long as I can remember. Flowers have always been special to me. They have a unique quality that they are always around for our life events - births, debs, weddings, get wells, birthdays, thank yous and funerals - flowers bring joy, comfort and show love for all of life's occasions, whether joyous or sad.

My professional journey started 12 years ago when I got my first ever job in a flower shop while I was in college. I LOVED that job, so much so that I would go home and make bouquets for families and friends in my own time. I realised quickly that I needed to work full time with flowers. I worked with some of Ireland's best florists flower arranging, making weddings, creating event flowers, doing admin, buying stock - you name it, I've done it!

I then decided to study part time in digital marketing to get a degree, I landed a corporate job as a marketing exec and within 6 months felt an urge that I needed to get back to flowers. I missed being surrounded by flowers, the industry and the creativity (not the filthy hands and mess though!)

Instead of going back to what I was used to I wanted to create my own florist. Floristry uses HUGE amounts of plastic and waste. I knew that I didn't want this. I wanted to create a florist that was eco-friendly, supported other Irish businesses and that was sustainable. I also wanted to make modern arrangements that experiment with colour and the natural fall and beauty of flowers, and so stem was born! 

At Stem, we believe flowers should be bold, beautiful, and fun – just like you! Whether you’re treating yourself, decorating for an event, or sending a little love to a friend, our arrangements are designed to make you feel special. And because we’re all about keeping it green, we focus on sustainable practices like sourcing local flowers, using eco-friendly packaging, and minimising waste wherever we can.
